Voicing Boulder is a participatory, community-based media project inviting you to share photos and audio that reflect your daily life, your hopes for the city, and the moments that define Boulder’s spirit. Whether it’s a soundscape from your neighborhood or a snapshot from your commute, your submission helps build a living map of experiences across the city.

As for why? This is more than just storytelling -it’s civic imagination. What you share becomes part of a growing archive that informs public dialogue, shapes future planning, and amplifies the voices often left out. Your media may be included in exhibitions, public presentations, or artistic collages that reflect a shared vision of Boulder’s future.

Voicing Boulder is part of Experiments in Public Art: the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan Update 2025, a creative initiative that embeds artists in the city’s planning process. By contributing, you’re helping blur the lines between public art, public voice, and public policy.
